Patrick Gardiner grew up in County Down, Northern Ireland, in a home full of music and literature. After studying music in Falmouth, Cornwall, he now lives in London, where he practices his craft as writer, performer, producer and general noise-maker.

He independently released his debut EP ‘Save Myself‘ in October 2012 – a fresh blend of acoustic singer-songwriter material, incorporating soul and pop influences. ‘Save Myself’ was critically lauded by many reviewers and DJs ranging from independent publications, to the Guardian’s music blog.

His 2nd EP, the self-produced ‘Carcassonne’, was released on the 1st April 2015, to overwhelmingly positive reviews:

“a solid collection of songs that showcase Gardiner’s musicality, sensitivity and sheer ability to see the extraordinary in everyday situations. Overall Gardiner is a bit more worldly, a bit less wistful, but still every bit as talented.”

“A subtly eclectic mix of incisive, occasionally wry and consistently considered acoustic tale-telling… with some instantly memorable melodic threads and pop nuances. Better still is Gardiner’s guitar-playing throughout, proving very much representative of a craftsman who has played and commanded the instrument from a young age.”

His music has been featured on the blog of international charity, To Write Love On Her Arms. He was shortlisted in the Glastonbury Emerging Talent Contest 2013 as one of 120 artists chosen from over 8000 applicants.
He has received BBC Radio Ulster airplay from Ralph McLean, Stuart Bailie and Across The Line, BBC Radio Cornwall and has been introduced by Tom Robinson on BBC 6 Music.

His single ‘We Will Be Found’ debuted on BBC Radio Cornwall in April 2016 and was officially released on limited 12” vinyl by Cornish indie label ‘Shipwreck Sounds’.

Gardiner’s debut full-length album ‘Pieces Of Me’ will be released in the Winter of 2018 by Mórthir Records on a free/donations basis. The lead single from the album, ‘Riverside Remark’ was released in early September. Speaking of the song after hearing it live for the first time, Island Records President, Darcus Beese OBE, proclaimed “I love this song!”.

'Measures' was released with an accompanying music video in March 2017.

He has shared stages with the likes of SOAK, Ciaran Lavery, Malojian, The Undertones and Master & Dog – and has toured internationally with world renowned Irish vocal ensemble Anúna. He leant his vocals to Belfast’s critically lauded punk/jazz ensemble Robocobra Quartet on two occasions, recording vocals for the Bomber EP (2015) and their debut album Music For All Occasions (2016).
